CEE Plug Portable EV Charger 22kW
Standard domestic Schuko sockets are not built for repeated, high-current charging in workshops and fleet yards. The EMS2‑J is purpose-built for commercial industrial environments. It comes fitted with an IEC 60309 red twist-lock CEE commando plug, designed for continuous heavy-duty three-phase power. It delivers up to 22kW on a 380V three-phase supply and stands up to the repeated daily use, dust and vibration common at depots and service workshops.
IEC 60309 Red CEE twist-lock industrial plug. Unlike domestic connectors or blue single-phase CEE plugs, this red 3P+E commando connector is the established standard for 400V industrial machinery across Europe. The locking collar secures the connection tightly, preventing disconnection from vibration and eliminating overheating risks during hours-long 32A charging cycles.
Up to 22kW three-phase charging for fleet uptime. Plug into a properly installed 380V 32A three-phase socket to unlock the maximum AC charging speed for electric service vans and premium passenger EVs. Faster charging cuts vehicle downtime and keeps fleet rotations on schedule.
Hardened for dirty, exposed workshop environments. Dust, splashing water and fluctuating temperatures are all part of daily workshop life. IP65 ingress protection keeps internal electronics sealed. The 5-metre TPE charging cable remains flexible between -20℃ and +50℃ and resists cracking when dragged across cold concrete floors.
Smart controls for fleet operators. Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth connectivity let fleet teams monitor live charging sessions, schedule charging to avoid costly peak-period demand charges, and remotely start or stop individual charging sessions. OCPP integration is available as an option for teams running central charge management platforms.

A: Standard domestic plugs are not rated for continuous 32A load over multiple hours and will overheat. The red IEC 60309 CEE commando plug is engineered for heavy industrial equipment, with a locking mechanism and higher thermal tolerance for safe 22kW charging cycles.
A: You will need a qualified electrician to install a matching 380V three-phase red CEE socket on your property. If you only have standard single-phase household outlets, EMS2-G or EMS2-H will be the better fit.
A: The IP65 rating protects the unit against dust ingress and water jets. Even so, we advise hanging the charger on a hook and coiling the cable away to prevent vehicle traffic from damaging the cable or plug.
Q: Why can I not always reach 22kW even with a red CEE socket?
A: Two factors limit peak speed: the supply must be a stable 380V three-phase circuit, and the EV's onboard charger must support three-phase AC charging. If the vehicle only accepts single-phase AC, the charger will automatically cap at 7kW.
